Health Net, Inc. received three awards at the 14th annual Web Health Awards Winter/Spring 2012 Competition for creating electronic resources that help it connect with consumers and promote health education. Health Net’s entries were chosen from nearly 600 submissions and included a gold award for T2X, its health literacy social website designed for teens. “In order to eliminate the idea that being fit is a chore, it is important to make decision-making tools user-friendly and readily available for our members,” said Mark Brooks, Health Net’s chief technology officer, in a prepared statement. “We believe that encouraging consumers to participate in their own health care decisions is key to promoting and sustaining healthy behaviors.” Health Net also received a bronze award for its corporate website and a merit award for Health Net Mobile, its mobile application.
