Sun Valley-based XTend Medical Corporation announced it has signed a letter of intent to purchase entertainment company JoyFull Genius. Until recently, XTend’s core business has been in the medical field, specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of telemedicine, telehealth solutions, and diagnostic devices. Recently, the company announced plans to change its name to MultiCorp International, Inc. as it seeks to grow and diversify its business portfolio. Company officials said in a prepared statement that the acquisition of JoyFull Genius will be the first of many over the next six to 18 months. The business will be become a division of XTend. The addition of Bob Conti, president of JoyFull Genius, will be a “clear advantage” to XTend, officials said, stating that “his knowledge of the industry will cut a clear path for the company to prosper for many years and add revenue as it relates to all elements and aspects of the entertainment industry.” XTend had filed for bankruptcy protection following litigation with a Korean company.
