AeroVironment Reshuffles Senior Management

AeroVironment Inc. realigned its senior management ranks to support its continuing growth plans. Tom Herring was promoted to chief operating officer of the Monrovia-based company, allowing Chairman, CEO and President Tim Conver to focus on long-term growth and strategy. AeroVironment makes electric vehicle charging stations and develops and manufactures small unmanned aircraft (UAV) for the U.S. military and other armed forces around the world. The UAV work is done at facilities in Simi Valley. The management realignment included the promotion of Roy Minson to general manager of unmanned aircraft systems from deputy general manager. “Our senior management team is now structured to focus diligently on both operational excellence and the achievement of our long-term growth plans, and we look forward to continuing to create value for all our stakeholders,” Conver said in a prepared statement.
