Larry Coomes was appointed the new CEO of Palmdale Regional Medical Center. Coomes most recently came from Auburn Regional Medical Center in Auburn, Wash. where he served as CEO at the 213-licensed bed hospital. Coomes’s previous experience includes six years as chief operating officer of the 195-bed West Boca Medical Center in Boca Raton, Flo., associate administrator, and regional director of Tenet’s Commitment to Quality Operations Improvement Team. Prior to entering the health care industry, Coomes held several executive positions in the automotive industry, most recently as the national director of franchising and business development at Porsche. Coomes earned his bachelor’s degree at Eastern Illinois University and his Masters Degree at Duke University Fuqua School of Business.
