Jewelry Company Launching Hispanic Shopping Channel

Jewelry design and manufacturing company Zalemark Holding Co. has created a subsidiary to provide a home shopping channel aimed at Hispanic viewers of the MundoFox television network. CompraLux, the subsidiary of Sherman Oaks-based Zalemark, will offer affordable luxury items for Hispanic families, starting with select designer jewelry and gemstones and expanding to include cosmetics and other personal luxury items. The shopping channel will have well-known Hispanic celebrities and other on-air personalities as hosts. MundoFox, based in Los Angeles, started airing in August and is a joint venture of News Corp.’s Fox International Channels and RCN Television, a Columbian broadcaster. Share of Zalemark closed the day unchanged at 23 cents on the Pink Sheets.
