Glendale Memorial Selects ApolloMed to Provide ICU Services

Glendale Memorial Hospital has selected one of ApolloMed’s affiliated medical groups to provide services for the hospitals’ Intensive Care Unit, it was announced today. ApolloMed will provide ICU Medical Director services, a critical care specialist and work with the hospital to develop evidence-based practice protocols and poicies, including admission and discharge criteria, core measures and utilization management. “Our medical staff leaders supported this program to improve the quality and consistency of medical care in our intensive care unit,” said Mark Meyers, president of Glendale Memorial, in a prepared statement. Glendale Memorial is a 334-bed hospital that has 24 ICU beds. “This represents the second ICU services contract for our Division of Critical Care Medicine,” said Warren Hosseinion, CEO of Apollo Medical Holdings, in a prepared statement. “We expect to obtain more intensivist contracts in the near future as hospitals begin to focus more on standardization, care coordination and accountability in their ICUs.” Last week, ApolloMed Hospitalists signed an agreement with L.A. Care Health Plan to provide hospital management services to 22 hospitals in Los Angeles County. Kelly Goff
