40 Under 40, Brenman

Jordan Landes-Brenman, 29 Founder/Partner, Haute House PR Fashion is more than a hobby for Jordan Landes-Brenman. The 29-year-old co-founder and partner at Sherman Oaks-based Haute House PR & Marketing, Landes-Brenman makes fashion her business, representing emerging designers. “I am truly passionate about every aspect of the fashion industry and am constantly looking to grow as a business professional and entrepreneur,” she said. “Being open to new ideas, creative collaborations and to new ways of doing my job have allowed my business to grow in a very short amount of time.” In addition to landing the products of her clients on the red carpet and in the pages of fashion magazines, Landes-Brenman pens an online style column for Ventura Blvd Magazine and regularly appears on trend segments for style shows. “I’ve immersed myself in every aspect of the industry and go out of my way to do things that aren’t necessary for my job description, but that give me experience in the other facets of the fashion industry,” she said. “Putting yourself out there and embracing your industry is going to come back three-fold.” Before branching out with business partner Kelly Kepner, Landes-Brenman interned at Chanel, which she credits with giving her invaluable experience, and worked as director of product placement and publicity at firm RLPR, which has offices in Los Angeles and New York. At each step, Landes-Brenman says people have treated her well and given her opportunities, something that she keeps in the forefront of her mind when dealing with employees and co-workers. “Today’s emerging brand, designer, stylist or editor could be tomorrow’s most influential contact,” Landes-Brenman said. “In my industry, nice, helpful people are rare and hard to come by, so I always try my best to prove the fashion PR stereotype wrong.”
