40 Under 40 Profiles

When Monica Mills, 38, isn’t working as vice president of mortgage generation at Bank of America, she is planning events to raise money for families of sick or injured children through the charity she founded, Hopes Haven. Kayvan Mott, 28, is a partner and vice president at Sherman Oaks marketing and PR firm, Infinite Communications. He recently became the youngest member of the board of governors at the Valley Economic Alliance and has guest lectured at area universities. For their career achievements and dedication to community service, Mills and Mott are among those featured in the Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Special Report. We selected these 40 individuals from a pool of more than 100 applicants, as they represent the region’s best and brightest young professionals. Apart from being leaders in their respective industries, the Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 are helping the Valley community at large, often by offering service to those in need and mentoring their colleagues. We were astounded by the amount of talent, determination and commitment these young men and women have shown, and we are convinced they will be business leaders for many years to come.
