FilmL.A. Promotes Communications Director

Philip Sokoloski, the director of communications for nonprofit FilmL.A., has been promoted to vice president, integrated communications for the organization. In the newly created role, Sokoloski will bridge media relations, community outreach and market research in the planning, execution and measurement of integrated communication campaigns. Sokoloski is well prepared for the responsibility of the position, said FilmL.A. President Paul Audley. “Philip will be an integral part of the trio involved in our communications and public affairs activities, with me and the upcoming appointment of an executive vice president,” Audley said. FilmL.A. is the agency that coordinates on-location film and television production in the city and county of Los Angeles and in a number of other Southern California jurisdictions. Sokoloski has been with FilmL.A. for 10 years and helped create Film Works, an award-winning public education and marketing campaign, and worked on the launch of FilmL.A. eNEWS. Sokoloski has a master’s degree in Strategic Public Relations from the USC Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism. Mark R. Madler
