Cherokee Declares Quarterly Dividend

Cherokee Inc. announced Tuesday it will pay shareholders a quarterly dividend of 10 cents a share. The Van Nuys apparel- and brand-licensing company will pay the dividend to shareholders of record as of June 1. It will be payable on or about June 15. Since 1996, Cherokee has paid out $225 million in dividends, the company said. It declared a 10 cent dividend in March as well. Cherokee-branded clothes are sold at Target, Tesco and other outlets in the United States and overseas. Shares gained 25 cents, or 1.9 percent, to close at $13.17 on the Nasdaq.
