Ontic Adds New Aircraft Product Line

Aerospace aftermarket parts supplier Ontic has acquired part of the legacy product line of Zodiac Oxygen Systems. Ontic, based in Chatsworth, is a subsidiary of BBA Aviation plc and Zodiac Oxygen Systems, headquartered in Plaisir, France, is part of French company Zodiac Aerospace. Ontic will support the product lines of tail wheel assemblies, brake valves, temperature and pressure gauges and first aid kits for existing models of aircraft made by Cessna Aircraft Co., Air Tractor Inc., Piper Aircraft Inc., Hawker Beechcraft Corp., Dassault Aviation and others. Zodiac is among a growing list of original equipment manufacturers that Ontic has partnered with, said Peg Billson, president and CEO of BBA Aviation Aftermarket Services. “Providing OEMs like Zodiac with a complete legacy support solution and assuring their customers of lifetime support on the OEM pedigreed product is the real value Ontic provides,” Billson said in a prepared statement. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
