Inc. has closed a $200 million investment from Permira, a London fund. The equity financing will be used to expand the business of the Glendale provider of online legal services.

Permira becomes the single largest shareholder and will appoint a majority of the board. LegalZoom’s management team and its venture partners will maintain most of their ownership stakes. Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers maintained its entire stake, while Polaris Venture Partners maintained a portion of its stake.

O’Gara Coach Co. has opened a Maserati dealership in Thousand Oaks to go along with its Bentley and Rolls Royce offerings.

The Maserati showroom, which features imported Italian floor tiles and furniture, occupies 3,000 square feet in the dealership O’Gara opened in 2012 at 3610 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd.

O’Gara Coach is based in Beverly Hills.

LTC Properties Inc. has appointed James J. Pieczynski as a board member.

The Westlake Village real estate investment trust will increase the size of its board from five to six. Pieczynski is chief executive of CapitalSource Inc., a publicly-held commercial lender in Chevy Chase, Md.

Prior to joining CapitalSource, Pieczynski served as LTC’s president, chief financial officer and board member from 1993 to 2001.

LTC owns long-term care and other health-care facilities operated by third parties. Its portfolio includes four skilled-nursing homes, 105 assisted-living facilities and other properties.
