Apollo Medical Appoints CFO

Apollo Medical Holdings Inc. has appointed Mitchell R. Creem as its chief financial officer. Creem replaces Kyle Francis, one of the founders of the Glendale health care company, who will continue to assist the company as an advisor to management and the board of directors. Creem has 30 years’ experience in health care, including as chief executive of Keck Hospital of USC and chief financial officer at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Tufts Medical Center. Apollo, which started out managing hospital-based medical groups, has been aggressively expanding into other lines of business, including Medicare and managing care for patients with diabetes and kidney disease. Creem’s appointment was announced Thursday. Shares on Friday remained at 50 cents with no trading over the counter.
