Talon CEO Resigns

Talon International Inc. announced the resignation of its chief executive officer of nine years on Tuesday. The Woodland Hills supplier of zippers and apparel accessories said Lonnie D. Schnell resigned from both the board of directors and his executive position. The company’s statement did not further explain the change in leadership. Effective immediately, the board of directors has appointed former company president Larry Dyne to be chief executive. The board also appointed him to fill the board vacancy. “Mr. Schnell was instrumental in creating a strong foundation to build upon,” said newly appointed chief executive Dyne in a statement. “We have a leadership team in place that has the experience and capabilities of accelerating our growth and I look forward to working closely with them to help execute the next phase of the company’s transformation.” A spokesperson for the company could not be reached for comment. Shares closed up 2 cents or 13 percent to 17 cents on the over-the-counter market.
