The first Dunkin’ Donuts in Santa Clarita opened Wednesday, the first of several coming to the region. The donut shop is owned by franchise group Good Treats LLC and located at 27125 Sierra Highway, in a renovated fast-food restaurant with a drive-through window. Good Treats plans to open another 13 Dunkin’ Donuts locations in the Santa Clarita Valley, Burbank and Glendale. The opening of the Santa Clarita store featured the Golden Valley High School marching band and elected officials from the city and region, according to a report in the Santa Clarita Signal newspaper. Dunkin’ Donuts, part of Dunkin’ Brands Group Inc. in Canton, Mass., has made a push to expand into Southern California over past year with locations opening in Encino, Santa Monica, Downey and Laguna Hills.
