Reports: Rams Start Spring Training at Cal Lutheran

Next Monday, the Los Angeles Rams will begin the team’s first offseason training program at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks. The college serves as the team’s temporary football headquarters until a permanent location is determined. On April 10, Phase 1 training will commence, which includes off-field strength exercises and conditioning, according to the Ventura County Star. Phase 2 will begin on May 1, incorporating individual skills along with offensive and defensive drills on separate fields. Phase 3 has been stagger scheduled between May 23 and June 8 and will include full-team practices with no contact. Voluntary and rookie minicamps will take place in late April and early May respectively. In addition, new-hire Sean McVay – the youngest head coach in NFL history – opted to hold a mandatory minicamp in mid-June, a nonrequirement by former head coach Jeff Fisher, according to the Orange County Register. The NFL Draft will take place April 27-29. Last year, the Rams had the No.1 overall pick and drafted Quarterback Jared Goff from the University of California – Berkeley.
