Limoneira Escapes Major Fire Damage

Limoneira Co. has issued a statement that its crops escaped substantial damage from the Southern California wildfires. The Santa Paula avocado and lemon grower said the fires destroyed 14 of its farm-worker housing units and caused a power outage at its packing house, but it is not expecting the fires to have a significant impact on operating results. Limoneira is expecting annual revenue for the fiscal year that ended in October around $120 million, an increase of 9.4 percent from last year, according to filing. The Business Journal contacted Limoneira for further details on any new damages since Tuesdays press release, but the company did not respond the request by press time. Shares of Limoneira Co. (LMNR) closed Friday down 44 cents, or 2 percent, to $21.39 on the Nasdaq.
