Vroozi, a Sherman Oaks developer of cloud-based business-to-business procurement software, has named Gregg Parise as chief executive. Parise is an entrepreneur with 24 years of experience in finance and business operations. For the past four years he has served as chief executive of Events.com in San Diego, where he spearheaded four acquisitions and raised more than $20 million in funding. Prior to leading Events.com, he founded and managed several hedge funds after holding senior trader roles at Raymond James & Associates and Hambrecht & Quist. “This opportunity is tailor-made for my experience and expertise,” Parise said in a prepared statement. “Spend management is so important for companies to focus on … growing the reach and impact of a much-needed solution like Vroozi is something I sincerely look forward to.” Parise takes the place of former Vroozi Chief Executive Steve Olds, who will remain with the company as president and chairman.
