California has 77 entries on a list of the priciest ZIP codes, with two San Fernando Valley neighborhoods on the list. La Cañada Flintridge (91011) ranked 64th with a median home sale price of $1.64 million while Encino (91436) ranked 79th at $1.5 million. Real estate database PropertyShark compiled the rankings, based on median home sales prices from 2017 residential transactions on single- and two-family homes, condos and co-ops. The Palo Alto-adjacent Atherton (94027) topped the annual list with a median home sale price of $4.95 million. ZIP codes in New York County and Miami Beach followed, with Beverly Hills’ 90210 ranking fifth at $3.85 million and Santa Monica’s 90402 in sixth place at $3,51 million. Of all 50 states, California has the most communities on the 2017 list by a longshot, with New York retaining a distant second place with 19 ZIP codes.
