CyberCoders, a subsidiary of Calabasas information and technology recruiter ASGN Inc. (formerly On Assignment Inc.), has released a report on the top 10 most in-demand tech jobs this year. The report finds that as the tech industry continues to expand, many companies are struggling to fill open positions. Demand for graphic designers grew by 8 percent year-over-year, ranking it first on the list. Team lead and systems engineer came in second and third, with demand for the positions increasing 6.5 percent and 5.5 percent respectively. CyberCoders derived the list by analyzing its proprietary placement and jobs data from 2014 to 2017. “It’s no surprise that companies are hiring for top tech positions at a rapidly growing rate, and we don’t expect to see this demand slow down any time soon,” says CyberCoders President Shane Lamb in a statement. Salaries for the top positions ranged from $71,929 for graphic designers to $152,103 for senior data engineers, according to the report. Shares of ASGN (ASGN) rose 98 cents, or 1 percent, on Wednesday to close at $83.33 on the New York Stock Exchange.
