Capstone Turbine Corp. has sold a 1.4 megawatt generator to a client in the United Kingdom. Pure World Energy, Capstone’s distributor in the United Kingdom, secured the order.

The Van Nuys company, which makes small turbine to generate electricity, did not reveal the name of the client. The sale consists of one C1000 Signature Series low-pressure microturbine and two traditional C200 low-pressure systems that will be installed this summer.

“This order is significant as it is the first of our new C1000 Signature Series units to be sold into the growing U.K. market and will be an excellent showcase installation,” Darren Jamison, chief executive of Capstone, said in a statement.

Shares of Capstone (CPST) closed Tuesday unchanged at $1.46 on the Nasdaq.
