Borderline Bar Announces Second Location

The owners of Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks announced some good news recently: they plan to open a sister location in Agoura Hills called BL Dancehall & Saloon. The Borderline has been closed since the tragic mass shooting that took 13 lives there in November 2018. Owners have said they plan to reopen it. A Facebook post from the bar reads: “While the construction and reopening process continues at 99 Rolling Oaks Dr. in Thousand Oaks, we have decided to open in a brand new beautiful venue in Agoura Hills, owned and operated by the Borderline owners and staff to provide you all with a place we can all call home during the long rebuilding process of The Borderline Bar & Grill.” In an attached video, co-owners Bryan Hynes and Troy Hale confirm they are working to reopen the original. “It’s going to take a little while, but we will work towards it,” Hynes said. The new dance hall at 29020 Agoura Rd. will feature a custom-built dance floor, outdoor bar and patio, game room with pool tables and a stage for live performances. Its grand opening date will be revealed “very soon,” according to the Facebook post. “Everything that you loved about Borderline, we’re bringing to this new location,” Hale said in the video. For now, the Borderline crew will continue to host country nights Wednesdays at The Canyon Club Agoura and Thursdays at The Canyon Club Santa Clarita. Once operational, BL Dancehall & Saloon will be closed Wednesdays and Thursdays as to not compete with the Canyon Club nights.
