Four-Story Residential Complex Proposed in Sun Valley

Nonprofit developers Meta Housing Corp. and Western Community Housing have proposed an affordable housing development in Sun Valley, according to Urbanize.LA. With a 2020 completion goal, Arminta Square Apartments, at 11050-11064 Arminta St., would consist of a four-story building with 110 residential units. The complex will feature a mix of one- to four-bedroom dwellings aimed at households earning 60 percent or less than the area median income. Forty-five of the units will be designated permanent supportive housing dwellings while 64 apartments will be devoted to low-income individuals and families. Y&M Architects is the firm charged with designing Arminta Square, which will have more than 22,000 square feet of common amenities, ranging from community room to courtyards. The city of Los Angeles will submit a request to U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for $3.19 million in funding toward the development; the project’s total budget may scale to $53.6 million.
