North Hollywood to See 18 New Contemporary Units

An 18-unit apartment building has been proposed for North Hollywood. Filed Aug. 4 with Los Angeles Department of City Planning by applicant Garen Boyajian of Blix Equities, the five-story project aims to replace an existing 1930s-erected fourplex edifice. Los Angeles-based Bittoni Architects will design the project, a contemporary looking, boxy, black-and-white mix of concrete and wood. The NoHo site, located east of Lankershim Boulevard at 10912 W. Blix St., will see the rise of the building with one- and two-bedroom apartments, plus a subterranean parking level for 16 vehicles. Three of the 18 apartment units will be earmarked as low-income units. No construction time frame or completion date was provided in the application.
