Avenu Insights and Analytics in Westlake Village has been selected as the provider of Los Angeles County’s historical document preservation and imaging services, the company said in a statement Monday. Avenu’s software will help with document management and public access to records. Preservation of such documents is a top priority for municipal staff, Avenu said, given the state’s “growing number of natural disasters in recent years.” The business is a portfolio company of Mill Point Capital in New York, and has partnered with more than 3,000 state and local governments to provide administrative support and boost connectivity to the public with its software. “Avenu has a long and successful history serving California, and we are honored to be awarded the (service agreement) to meet the needs of Los Angeles County,” Paul Colangelo, chief executive of Avenu, said in a statement. “We have been providing these services for over 40 years and will utilize leading-edge technology to provide digital processing and preservation solutions to Los Angeles County.”
