Flexjet Opens Facility at Van Nuys Airport

Fractional jet ownership and leasing firm Flexjet LLC has opened a new terminal at Van Nuys Airport.Located at Clay Lacy Aviation, one of the oldest aircraft charter and management companies at the San Fernando Valley aifield, the Flexjet terminal features a 3,000-square-foot lounge exclusively for Flexjet clients.“In choosing to locate our Van Nuys private terminal at the Clay Lacy Executive Complex, we are able to offer our clients one of the most premium, private and secure locations,” Flexjet Chief Operating Officer Megan Wolf said in a statement. “And expanding our network of private terminals offers our clients another retreat as they travel with us.”The Van Nuys terminal is the fourth opened by the Ohio-based fractional jet ownership company. The others are in White Plains, N.Y.; Naples, Fla.; and West Palm Beach, Fla. Two more private terminals are planned to open this year in Dallas and Teterboro, N.J.The locations of Flexjet’s private terminals were determined by where the company experiences its greatest demand. Van Nuys is one of Flexjet’s busiest destinations.Executive Vice President of Sales D.J. Hanlon said the company had found the right location, the right partner and the right time to address the growth in the Southern California region.“The new terminal has outstanding features including a private ramp so that our clients can choose to drive directly to their aircraft or enjoy privacy inside the terminal to wait for their travel companions,” Hanlon said in a statement.Throughout the lounge of the Van Nuys terminal are oversized black and white photographs that evoke the romance of old Hollywood, rock ‘n’ roll, business and the arts that pay tribute to 50-year history of legendary aviation pioneer Clay Lacy, the namesake of the facility, Flexjet said in a release.
