Simulations Plus Donates $25,000 for Medicine Distribution

Simulations Plus Inc., a biotechnology modeling and simulation software company in Lancaster, has donated $25,000 to nonprofit medication distributor Dispensary of Hope.

Dispensary of Hope’s mission revolves around providing access to quality medication for the low income and uninsured population.

In conjunction with celebrating 25 years in business, Simulations Plus donated to Dispensary of Hope following a research and selection process that focused on recipients aligned with Simulations’ vision and mission.

“While supporting our clients in their efforts to develop new and innovative therapies is our focus, access to these therapies is a necessary extension to ensure delivery of these health solutions to underserved communities,” Simulations Plus Chief Executive Shawn O’Connor said in a statement. “We are happy to support Dispensary of Hope in their efforts to address this need.”

Dispensary of Hope Chief Executive Christopher Palombo said in a statement that the nonprofit’s network site partners are dispensing 3,000 prescriptions every day and that the donation expands access to more people in need.

Shares of Simulations Plus (SLP) closed Tuesday down 29 cents, or a fraction of a percent, to $46.97 on the Nasdaq.
