Revenues inched up in the second quarter for NBC Universal, according to the latest earnings report from its parent General Electric. The entertainment and media division of GE reported revenues of $3.8 billion for the quarter ending June 30. That is a 5 percent increase over the revenue of $3.6 billion for the same period in 2009. Overall, GE had net earnings of $5.2 billion, or $0.45 per diluted share, on revenues of $74 billion for the quarter. For the same period a year ago, the company had net earnings of $5.6 billion, or $0.51 per diluted share, on revenues of $77.5 billion.
