Pro-Filming Campaign Announced

An outdoor, print and web advertising campaign on the importance of filming in Los Angeles begins next month, the creation of FilmLA and sponsors in the entertainment industry. Titled “Film Works,” the campaign was developed over an 18 month period with input from industry representatives, union officials and area lawmakers. A black and yellow logo will appear on billboards and street furniture in January, followed by placement on film production vehicles as a way to thank communities that welcome filming. “We’ve received very enthusiastic responses from local elected officials, union members, representatives from the major studios and small businesses that supply the industry,” said Paul Audley, president of FilmLA, the not for profit that coordinates on-location filming. “We’ll be counting on their support going forward to help Film Works raise awareness.” Among the Valley companies that are in-kind sponsors for the campaign are Bruce’s Gourmet Catering, Inc.; Fishdog Studio Rentals LLC; prop house History for Hire; Jackson Shrub Supply Inc.; camera and lens rental firm Panavision; S&S Portables; and Warner Bros. Mark R. Madler
