A multi-year deal between THQ Inc. and Mattel Inc. will produce video games based on the toy company’s popular brands, including Barbie, Hot Wheels, and Fisher Price. The first titles are expected to be released next holiday season by Agoura Hills-based THQ for game consoles, mobile devices, PCs and online. There is enormous potential for the relationship between THQ and Mattel, said Martin Good, executive vice president of Kids, Family and Casual Games for the video game publisher. “Through video games, we can build on some of the most famous and classic toy properties in the world, as well as unlock the entertainment potential of the newest creations from Mattel,” Good said.
