Valencia-based U.S. HealthWorks is acquiring two health care centers in Vernon and Commerce, the healthcare center operator announced. The acquisition of the Technimed Occupational Medicine centers expands the number of HealthWorks-operated medical centers to 66 in California and 134 nationwide. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. “This is an exciting acquisition for us because the addition of these two centers enables us to better serve our Los Angeles-area clients and patients,” said Therese Hernandez, senior vice president of operations for U.S. HealthWorks in California. The Technimed medical centers focus on providing injury and illness diagnosis and treatment, preventative services, pre-employment and post-offer exams and testing, and return-to-work programs.
