Earnings: NetSol, B. Riley, Trio-Tech

NetSol Technologies Inc. on Monday announced widening losses in the third quarter. The Calabasas lending software company reported a net loss of $1.7 million (-17 cents a share) for the quarter ended Sept. 30, compared to a loss of $219,000 (-4 cents) for the same period a year ago. Revenue grew 12.7 percent to $15 million. The sole analyst who follows the company expected revenue of $16.7 million, according to Thomson Financial Network. B. Riley Financial Services Inc. announced a profitable third quarter on Monday The Woodland Hills company, which has stock brokerage, debt and liquidation auction operations, reported net income of $8.9 million (47 cents a share) for the quarter ended Sept. 30, compared to net income of $1.5 million (9 cents) for the same quarter a year ago. Revenue grew 138 percent to $50 million. No analysts follow the company. Trio-Tech International Inc. growing profits for the third quarter on Monday. The Van Nuys semiconductor testing company reported net income of $377,000 (9 cents a share for the quarter ended Sept. 30, compared to net income of $347,000 ( 8 cents) for the same quarter a year ago. Revenue increased 13.7 percent to $6.6 million. No analysts follow the company.
