Mission Valley Bancorp has elected Ara Oghoorian, president of ACap Asset Management Inc. to its board of directors, the Sun Valley-based commercial bank announced Thursday. Oghoorian has worked at wealth management firms providing financial services to high net-worth individuals and businesses for more than two decades. He founded his own firm, ACap Asset Management, in Los Angeles in 2009. He also worked at the U.S. Treasury Department and the Federal Reserve Bank for nine years as a regulator. “I am honored and very excited to join the accomplished and dedicated team of management and board members of Mission Valley Bancorp to meet the banking needs of the local community,” Oghoorian said in a statement. “I am eager to utilize my years of experience at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and finance background to guide the bank to continued growth for years to come.” Shares of Mission Valley (MVLY) closed Thursday unchanged at $15.40 on the over-the-counter market.
