Conservative and Christian-slanting radio talk broadcaster Salem Media Group in Camarillo will syndicate a new program called the “Dan Proft Show” beginning next week. A lawyer and prominent Republican figure in Illinois political circles, Proft’s new show will feature his political and social commentary in the 9 p.m. to midnight Eastern Time slot. “Dan Proft is incredibly intelligent, insightful and full of knowledge,” said Phil Boyce, Salem Radio Network’s senior vice president of spoken word, in a statement. “We are delighted to have a host of his quality available to take over the night slot on the lineup. I think stations will love having his wit and humor every night.” Proft has been with Salem since 2015 when he joined Amy Jacobson as co-host of the Dan and Amy Show on AM 560 The Answer in Chicago, a role he will retain going forward. Before that, he hosted the morning show on Chicago’s WLS Radio. Salem announced the show Friday. Shares of Salem (SALM) closed Thursday unchanged at $1.45 on the Nasdaq.
