Loop Media Inc. is getting into artificial intelligence.
The Glendale-based distributor of music and short-form videos singed a deal with
Pypestream that brings AI to Loop’s entertainment business-venue platform.
Loop Media is now offering businesses AI-generated information to make sure the right content is playing at the right time for the right audience in each location – be it restaurants, retail, office buildings, doctors’ offices, airports, bars or college campuses, according to Loop.
Liam McCallum, chief product and technical officer of Loop Media, said that helping its venue partners achieve a better customer experience was at the core of the company’s mission.
“We believe partnering with Pypestream to deliver a better customer experience for our rapidly growing screen footprint using their proprietary technology gives Loop Media the AI edge on our competition,” McCallum said.
Similar to the major music streaming services, Loop and Pypestream are leveraging the abilities of machine learning to understand business processes, making it possible to identify the most logical content recommendations based on demographics, operator preference, venue style and business type, among other data.
Richard Smullen, chief executive of Pypestream, said the company builds high-impact and highly immersive customer experiences.
“In collaboration with Loop Media, Pypestream is able to empower every type of business venue – bars, restaurants, retail, doctors’ offices, etc. – to harness the power of AI, allowing each venue to curate their ideal entertainment experience,” he said.
