Entertainment David H. Johnson has been named executive vice president and general counsel at Warner Music Group. Based in Burbank, he will be responsible for a broad range of music and entertainment matters for the Time Warner Inc. division. Johnson was previously senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of Sony Music Entertainment Inc. William A. Sutman has been appointed chief financial officer of Universal Pictures. He will be responsible for all finance activities, strategic planning, performance monitoring and centralized accounting and reporting for the filmed entertainment group. Sutman was previously vice president and controller of Universal Studios. Also, Lisa Berlin has been appointed senior vice president, worldwide promotions of Universal Studios Consumer Products. She will be responsible for the division’s global promotional programs and strategic partnerships. Berlin joined the division in 1997 as vice president of promotions. Nick Turner has been appointed vice president of Artistdirect, located in Encino. He will create e-commerce partnerships, maximize online and offline company branding, and expand marketing opportunities for the music entertainment and e-commerce company. Turner was most recently a vice president of the West Coast division of N2K’s Music Boulevard. High Tech David Blaine has been appointed vice president of specialty sales for Technicolor’s packaged media group, located in Camarillo. He is responsible for directing all domestic sales activities for the company’s premium promotion video mailing products and services for the non-theatrical market. Blaine was previously sales and marketing consultant to the company on the specialty and non-entertainment markets. Harry Halamandaris has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer of Litton Industries Inc., located in Woodland Hills. He will provide overall direction to the day-to-day operations of Litton, as well as have continuing responsibility for strategic planning. Halamandaris was most recently corporate senior vice president and group executive for Litton’s electronic warfare group and strategic business development.
