Aramark Uniform Services, a Burbank-based provider of apparel to the health care and food service industries, among others, has acquired a 90 percent interest in a Rochester, N.Y.-based supplier of uniforms and linens. Aramark acquired the interest in Associated Textile Rental Service, for an undisclosed sum. The company said the acquisition adds about 1,000 new customers to its roster and expects it to add $5.5 million to its annual revenues. Aramark Uniform Services is a division of Philadelphia-based Aramark Corp. which operates in 19 countries and employs about 242,500 workers.
