Wells Fargo Home Mortgage on Saturday will hold the grand opening for its Lake View Terrace retail mortgage store, part of a program to establish 30 retail mortgage stores in ethnic neighborhoods throughout California. The Lake View Terrace store is the first San Fernando Valley location Wells’ is opening in the retail mortgage store program, although the bank does have home mortgage consultants in many of its community branches. The new retail mortgage store, at 11954 Foothill Blvd., a largely Hispanic community, will be staffed by bilingual home mortgage consultants, and offer a variety of mortgage products, including loans targeted to low-income customers and those with non-traditional credit histories. The store will also hold special classes to educate potential lenders in home financing.
