Salem to Broadcast Iraq Vote from El Toro

Salem Communications Corporation has announced that three of its stations have secured the rights to broadcast live from the El Toro Facility in Irvine, as Iraqi citizens living abroad participate in Iraq’s elections. The El Toro Facility is one of only seven Iraq out-of-country voting locations in the United States. Friday, January 28, is the first of three days when Iraqi expatriates are allowed to vote. The shows that will broadcast at El Toro are, “The Larry Marino Show,” heard on 590 KTIE-AM, which broadcasts from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.; the nationally syndicated “Huge Hewitt Show,” heard in Southern California on News Talk 870 KRLA-AM from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and 99.5 KKLA-FM’s “The Frank Pastore Show,” which airs from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Headquartered in Camarillo, Salem is a radio broadcaster focused on Christian and family-themed programming. Upon the close of all announced transactions, the company will own 104 radio stations.
