The American Institute of Architects and the Economic Alliance of the San Fernando Valley have joined to create a development model for the Sun Valley-Hansen Dam area. The partnership is similar to one created in order to focus on development of the Panorama City area. That plan was adopted by the Los Angeles City Planning Commission as the official guideline for central Panorama City Area development. The San Fernando Valley chapter of the AIA and the Alliance will study existing land use for a 1,500-acre area, and a 20-member team will develop a growth plan and economic development strategy for Sun Valley. “This team is ready and dedicated to collaborate with businesses, property owners and city officials to develop plans to deal with the myriad of issues and concerns impacting this community,” said Jerry Pollak, AIA architect and project team leader.
