Cherokee Sees Net, Revenues Rise

Cherokee Inc. reported net income rose to $20.7 million or $2.33 per diluted share for the fourth quarter ended Feb. 3, 2007 from $4.4 million or $0.49 per diluted share for the comparable period a year ago. Cherokee’s revenues rose to $42.2 million, primarily due to a one-time addition of $33 million from the company’s sale of the Mossimo Finders Agreement. For the year ago period, Cherokee reported revenues of $9.9 million. International revenues for the Van Nuys-based licensing company rose 25 percent for its full fiscal 2007 year to $18.4 million. Worldwide annual revenues of Cherokee branded products exceeded $2.5 billion, the company said.
