Landmark housing project set for Simi

Simi Valley could become the home of Ventura County’s largest Habitat for Humanity housing project. The nonprofit organization has been working with the Affordable Housing Subcommittee of Simi Valley with the hopes of purchasing property on Patricia Avenue to build 10 town homes. Rob Bruce, deputy director of housing and special projects for the city of Simi Valley, said the subcommittee has been discussing the project with Habitat for close to six months.
