The Camarillo Community Development Commission, which is made up of all five members of the City Council, approved the purchase of 12 acres of land that could provide a new site for the Channel Islands Ice Center. The vacant land is in the western part of the city near Home Depot and is expected to become accessible by road when Ventura Boulevard is extended.
