PALMDALE – The majority of Palmdale residents are Hispanic, and the same could soon be true for Lancaster, according to new numbers released this week by the U.S. Census Bureau. As of 2007, Hispanic residents made up 52% of Palmdale’s population and 35.2% of Lancaster’s, as the Hispanic population in the two cities has grown about three times faster than the cities themselves since the 2000 census.
