Five years after selling Innovative Merchant Solutions to Intuit, Joe Kaplan leaves the company at the end of the month. “I have reached all of the goals I set out for myself,” said Kaplan. “I love Intuit, it’s a great company.” He said he has no immediate career plans. In September, Kaplan managed the move of 750 Intuit employees to swanky new offices in the LNR Center in Woodland Hills. Replacing Kaplan will be Kiran Patel who served as CFO for Intuit from September 2005 until November 2007. He is presently general manager and senior vice president for the company’s flagship product, TurboTax. The new position will include a bump in title to executive vice president.
