No upgraded sheriff’s stations in AV just yet

PALMDALE – Los Angeles County supervisors have approved a new set of fees, to be paid by developers, that will pay for the construction of new sheriff’s stations in Santa Clarita, Newhall and Gorman. Similar fees for new facilities in Palmdale and Lancaster were discussed in December, but were not approved along with fees for the other areas. The two cities still have to work out a few details with the county, officials said. “Palmdale and Lancaster, we need to start working with them immediately,” said Lari Sheehan, a county deputy chief executive officer.
