Entertainment website Hollywood.com has acquired Encino box office tracking and analysis firm Media By Numbers. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition reinforces Hollywood.com’s commitment to making unique connections between fans and the entertainment industry, said President and COO Kevin Davis. Media By Numbers founder and President Dergarabedian joins Hollywood.com as part of the deal. Dergarabedian will increase the visibility of the Hollywood.com brand for his connections to the media, Davis said. “The synergies that exist within Hollywood.com and Media by Numbers create an extremely powerful combination that will allow us to realize our full potential and better showcase our services,” said Dergarabedian. Dergarabedian started Media By Numbers in December 2006 following 14 years at Exhibitor Relations Company, a top box office reporting firm.
