Manufacturer Enable IPC acquired a Wisconsin-based company that makes ultracapacitor technology for use in the energy industry. The acquisition of SolRayo LCC is an opportunity for Valencia-based Enable to make progress in a goal to support clean energy technologies. The purchase of SolRayo, based in Madison, is in exchange for in kind contributions from a major grant to be announced shortly. Mark Daugherty, currently the CTO of Enable IPC, has been named as the new SolRayo president. SolRayo co-founder Kevin Leonard stays on as CTO. “We are very excited to incorporate SolRayo’s exceptional talents into our company and have the opportunity to work with the researchers who know the technology best,” Daugherty said.
