BioSolar Inc. nears completing commercializing a component for solar panels made from renewable plant sources. The Santa Clarita-based company can replace traditional petroleum-based backsheets, the bottom-most layer in solar panel cells with those made from plant sources at a lower cost. BioSolar will bring its BioBacksheet product to market just as it enters pre-production on new versions to address the flat solar panel market. Mark R. Madler
