CLU Hires New CFO

Karen Davis has been named as the vice president for Administration and Finance at California Lutheran University, the school announced. Davis, of Newbury Park, oversees CLU’s senior financial management and several departments, including human resources, facilities and security. “The next few years will be very dynamic and exciting ones for CLU. Karen has the financial management skills and strategic vision to help us achieve our goals,” CLU President Chris Kimball remarked. Since 1987, Davis has worked for the Ventura County Health Care Agency, serving as CFO, among other roles. She developed business plans and financial forecasts in her capacity as a California Health Leadership College Fellow. The role also resulted in her implementing several public-private partnerships for a $400 million, multi-department agency. Davis replaces Bob Allison, who spent 14 years at CLU before leaving to become executive vice president for Business and Finance at his alma mater, Vanguard University of Southern California.
